WHY GO
A comfortable primitive campsite about 2 miles with a refreshing picturesque brook right in camp that's great to cool off after a day hike to Big Indian or the scenic overlook on Balsam Mountain. The campsite is about 100 yards downstream past the shelter. There are also a number small water falls to discover nearby that are formed by streams flowing into Biscuit Brook. Camp has a handsome stone fire pit, tidy stone seating and even a privy past the shelter.

GEAR TIPS
The rushing brook is handy to fill up with the 3L Water Jug and Bush Pot - so boil up lots of water for a pasta dinner and coffee for breakfast. There was a good amount of down dead wood across the brook from the camp site. Don't forget a pack towel or at least an extra bandana to dry off after a quick dip.
